What We're Thinking

Deciding what features should and shouldn't be in Squad is hard.

We want to keep Squad as simple as possible. Our goal is always enhance your development process and never disrupt it. Unfortunately, this means we can't accommodate every feature request. While this feature or that way of doing things may be great in your process, it may be cumbersome to someone else. That's why we strive to keep our product very focused, and think long and hard before we add anything new to it.

That being said, there are always things we think our product could do better. Some of these things are little fixes, others are major projects.

Our current "major project" is a complete overhaul of the Team Plan. As you may have noticed, we've temporarily suspended team signups. We've done this because the new Team Plan is going to be so much more advanced than the current plan that comparison will be difficult. We're working on:

• Better team member management
• Ability to define s/ftp locations for all team members
• Workspaces: a group of team members and files.
• Persistent sharing (Workspaces will be available even if the original creator is offline.)
• Several smaller improvements, including customizable text highlighting, sound options for chat, and new ways to share collaboration links.

A big part of what we do next is driven by you. So don't be shy in telling us what you'd like to see next. While we may not be able to accommodate every request, we are always open to suggestions. If you have one, please let us know!
